Solar Projectors Available

I managed to build a few more solar projectors and they are now available for $200  and $15 shipping.  These have a 79mm mirror and give the same 8 to 9 inch solar image.  When these are gone that will be the end as I have no more lens cells.

I got a lot of compliments on the projector after the eclipse.  I went to Tennessee to take these pictures.

  1. Mr. Jones,

I am going to be in the Murfreesboro, Tennessee area to view the eclipse on August 21st. Do you have any of your solar projectors left ?

Also, I just want to say that I’ve enjoyed several of your YouTube videos. I am making my first telescope mirror ( 8 inch) and I have followed many of your tips. I am now at a point where I am figuring my mirror but I am not sure what my Foucault test is telling me. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find anyone (even in a local astronomy club) that has been able to help me. I guess they don’t make their mirrors anymore. They buy them. So, my project has been set aside for a little while, while I either figure out the Foucault test, or build a bath interferometer from your online video.

Anyway, I’d probably be interested in buying one of your solar projectors.

    Thanks Donald Brockhaus
